There are two ways to use your CloudWatcher:
As a Stand-Alone Product
You can connect the CloudWatcher directly to a PC using the supplied RS232 connector. If your computer does not have an RS232 port you will require an RS232 to USB adapter cable which can be purchased from most suppliers of computer equipment. Once the CloudWatcher is attached you can install the latest software package.

In Combination with the Solo
If you have purchased the optional Solo device, then you will need to install this first and then simply connect the CloudWatcher's RS232 cable to the Solo's RS232 port. If you are using the Solo, you do not need to install the CloudWatcher software on your PC, although you may do so if you wish. The Solo presents the information in the form of a web page and a datafile, that can be read by third party software if required. Using the Solo allows you to access the data from your CloudWatcher at any time via the Internet, even when your computer is switched off.
